Comme toujours, un livre formidablement documenté qui parvient à captiver le lecteur en nous faisant vivre l??histoire de la Première Guerre mondiale. Non seulement les protagonistes sont attachants, mais en plus ils nous donnent un aperçu fidèle des mentalités et dissensions dans chaque classe sociale et dans différents pays (Royaume Uni, ?tats Unis, Russie, Allemagne). Le point de vue français n??est pas représenté et sans doute simplifié, mais le reste est tellement fourni que l??on fait sans. Nul auteur ne peut être exhaustif (heureusement).Le livre est passionnant et on ne le lâche qu??à regret à la dernière page en ayant hâte de lire le tome 2.Un livre à recommander à tous ceux qui s??intéressent à l??histoire du 20e siècle ! Très bonne lecture pour des élèves de 3ème ou de lycée.
